As the graphic designer for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, I played a pivotal role in developing the visual experience for the From Egypt to Pittsburgh series of temporary exhibitions. Sacred Scents explores the significance and power of incense in Egyptian culture and the Coptic Church. I was responsible for crafting the exhibition's graphic panels, layout, maps, and the interactive elements of scent stations.
This project presented a unique opportunity to enhance visitor accessibility and inclusivity by incorporating Arabic translations for the exhibition copy. Sacred Scents marked a significant milestone for the museum as the first major exhibition to implement this crucial language feature.
