Shobai (pronounced Shoaw-bai) is a experimental beauty brand concept rooted in artistic expression of cultural identity. It's inspired by the digital trends of y2k, bright 80s color palettes, and disruptive and bold typography. In Bangla, Shobai translates to everybody so I wanted to curate a brand with an authentic, energetic atmosphere where everyone can be their most comfortable of themselves.
The serif Shobai logo features customized serifs inspired by Bangla typography and the Bangla language. The written Shobai logo is to meant to be a signature, representing how makeup is a form of self-expression and individuality.
The customized typography of the word Shobai in Bangla serves as an emblem. I rounded off the corners and edges for a warm and welcoming presence.
The bright color palette is inspired by 80s and y2k digital aesthetics. I wanted the colors to be fun and inviting, reflecting the core of the brand: inclusivity and authenticity.
